I haven't been around here in ages.. but figured this might be the place to
ask this question as I have not been able to track anything down online so
far.. maybe it's a non-issue.. but.. I have been selling my excess macro on
eBay for a little while now and so far havn't had any issues where it might
be illegal to ship to, such as a coastal state like California. I cannot
find anything anywhere to tell me if this is a problem, but tonight, I sold
some to a person in California and have been trying to find out.. I have not
shipped yet, and it won't go out until Monday so I still have time to cancel
this but.. does anyone know if this is ok? Or where I might actually be able
to find out? I haven't been able to get any kind of decent search hits on
the subject.. maybe I am just using the wrong phrasing..

You might check with the USDA. I think they regulate things of that
nature; or if not, they might be able to direct you to the right
office.

.... the problem with people these days is that
they've forgotten we're really just animals.

Thanks.. I didn't think of them.. but there could also be state statutes
that prevent it.. I'll just do some more digging.

Depends on where you got it from.. if it was from a business, I would assume
they know the shipping laws so it would be ok. If it was from an individual,
just because they sent it, doesn't mean it's legal!

the fish and game department of the state in question has a lot to say about
what kind of aquatic things get shipped into, or collected in, a state.
