last night I bought a firefish and an undulated triger, not following good advice I
repeatidly give to people in this group, i introduced both to there home now after about 5
mins i lost track of the firefish :| I still cant find this little fish :| the only good
thing is the firefish and trigger have different homes :) so i know that didnt do it :)

tankmates for the firefish are
a bangaii cardinal
a maroon clown
an evil yellow tail but he isnt quite bigger than a pea and he seemed to ignore him :|
a not so evil velvet damsel though 3" long or so so maybee ???
and zillions of clown gobies ok at least 8
an emerald crab
an anemone crab

but no anemones and i have no corals big enough to consume him :|

so any ideas??? i wasnt able to find a body last night nor this AM I was hoping he was
just hiding ??? there are a ton of good hiding spots but ive turned over a few rocks so
ive checked most of them.

they sure can be, I knew I was breaking a few rules by even bringing this guy home,
knowing full well I dont have any Q tanks left, there all in use.

but he was really good looking and an even better price

so home he came, to vanish

then all the sudden just before my response he swam out as if he has been doing it forever

to vanish 10 mins later, but now i at least know about where he is

well my picaso wouldnt touch a coral, doesnt wanna have anything to do with them, many
inverts like starfish/urchins are also ok snails as long as there upright there ok he wont
even bother to give them a second look, shrimp are a fast snack, the clown is small bout
1.5" still, and munches on pulsing xenia no problem its a FO no corals anyways leaves
starfish alone tips over snails but doesnt yet eat them, in which it becomes picaso food
probibly because it got attention from the clown :) the undulated is also small <2" but
should mimic the clown except in eventually it will make a fast snack out any softie and
urchins and eventually anything it thinks it can beat up including munching on ROCK just
to nibble not after any small pods or anything. arent they cool :)

my picasso ive had for a while, I know what he likes and what he doesnt, the clown i got
when he was really really small like <.5" he spent time in my reef for a while once he
started picking on my pulsing xenia out he went into the FO :)

i have 3 firefish in a 29 reef and they all 3 will surf the power head
sometimes and other times you cant find them in the tank for days on end.

ahhh... the anemone. That's probably where my firefish went. I didn't
even think of that. He was so happy and was eating well, then...
Man I loved that little guy!!

with me at least, having 1 it stayed out quite often, 2 and they hardly ever
came out and with 3 I see them most every day. with the 2 I had them spawn
and the little ones got ate.........the first "third wheel" was a little on
the bully side and nipped all the tall fins off the other two so he went to
sump/fuge and I replaced him with another, these 3 all get along well.
