Cyanoacrylate is pretty non-reactive once cured. Just rinse it a bit to dilute
any leftovers. I'd recommend an epoxy for long-term immersion, but for a
short-term fix, superglue should be fine.

I used quick set exopy for mine as a temp fix like you. It lasted 10
years! Even though it says 5 minutes, I'd let it set up overnight.

I think it usually means you can work it for up to 5 min, afterwards it
begins to set and you shouldn't touch it. Overnight, definitely.

As an old fart, I once tried repairing my cracked denture with super
glue. It lasted about 3 days. Water may not affect it, but saliva sure
does :-).

Not recommended. Superglues (cyanoacrylates) are indeed affected and will
weaken from constant exposure to moisture. Use an epoxy instead.
