Does anyone here have a pet squid/octopus/cuttlefish? It requires plenty
of commitment, so most of us won't ever keep one--like to share your
experiences? Biologists say cephalopods are the smartest invertebrates
and it's rather interesting.

From the pages's info, the short lifespans are a real bummer. 1-2 years
is acceptable for cheap freshwater fish, but not long enjoyment for an
expensive octopus/cuttlefish.

I heard that if you have an octopus, it can climb out of the tank at night
and go in the bathtub and fill it up with water and lounge in there for a
while. Mike.
