Just wondering if anyone has any ideas. My 30 gallon tank just recently
started having (I don;t know how else to explain it but) it looks like it's
snowing in the tank. They look like small bubbles coming from the
filter/biowheel but there seems to be more today than two days ago.

We have a Marineland Emperor filter. Ammonia/Nitrite negative.
pH=7.2-7.6.KH=6. Using DIY CO2 (could these be yeast that was injected into
the tank by mistake?)

Can't think of any other way to explain it. The fish don't seem to be
suffering either.

Thanks,
Paige

If they look like small bubbles, I guess I would say it is possible that
your water level has lowered. When the water comes rushing out of the
filter, it mixes with the air and pushes air bubbles down into the water.

If these bubles go back up to the top of the surface and disappear, this is
what it would be.

And if this is the case, the original poster should consider themselves
lucky, as this action is very beneficial for the fish :-)
