Has anyone used the polished river/creek stones from Wal-Mart with their GF?
I currently have a thin (1/2") layer of gravel in the tank. But the boys
still have some minor Nitrate issues, so it's time for a new landscape. I
was going to go with a layer of the glass blobs/nuggets, but the only ones
they had were irridized. So I bought a few pounds of the largish polished
stones. These appear to be the same as Pet Smart sells, but about 1/10th the
price.
I'll soak them in a bucket for a few days, but I thought someone else might
have first hand experience? PH changes, chemical residue, etc.

My pet's named Sally.
She rocks, too.
She came from Marblehead beach.
Me and my friend Jane found her.
She's here beside me now.
I like her a lot, too.
Sally met Harry, too.
I grew up orphaned poor rich grrl ~
C'est moi ~
Just a grrl on Laura Lane,
Who forgot clean her backyard pool,
But watched the migrating crane,
While trying to decipher their lost language.

Shouldn't have any problem with these rocks.

I used them for awhile, no problems.
Pretty amazing price difference, isn't it?
