It wants to grow over rock. I have a frag on the sand that is surviving right
now, but it isn't even mine so I've not done anything permanent with it. And it
got nearly buried by my Tunze Turbelle until I uncovered it and moved it to a
safer spot.

If you're talking about this:

mine started on a small rock, but I put that rock on the sand. It's now
doubled in size, happily spreading over the sand. Growing like a weed.
It kind of glues itself to rocks, but the parts on the sand are easy to rip
off and place elsewhere (e.g. on other rocks) if you want to propagate it.

and I just hate it. -- Clarence Darrow

It can take over if you let it. I have it everywhere in my tank. I am
going to have to strip parts of my tank down and scrub it off. Hate to
do it but the stuff can take over. It is unfortunate but I will
probably kill a few other organisms as well but the stuff is just taking
over.
