To answer your question, yes, but not anymore. There was a MH light that had a
special ballast that would do that. Off hand I think it was called a solar MH
light, something like that. I think it was manufactured by Champion Lighing.
The MH bulb was actualy designed for running on DC. The ballast had settings on
it that would allow you to controle how long it took to turn on and to turn
off.
