Hi, folks
I've set up my 29G tank for two month. 3 weeks ago, there happened green
algae and nowadays, purple algae appeared on LR. Is this purple algae
harmful? Also, Should I remove it or it's normal phenomena in a new tank?
Thank you

Is the purple algae hard and growing on a rock or soft and wispy and moves
around?
The hard stuff is coralline algae and is considered very desirable- it is
beautiful, and tends to discourage pest algaes from taking hold.
If it is soft it could be cyano, or a red turf algae- hard to know what
other people call purple.
A quick google search should turn up photos of each for you if you are in
doubt.
