This coral has been in my tank for two weeks. It has never opened up. I'd
expect it to stay closed for a few days maybe, but not this long. Today
it looked like this.
<p><a href="http://mywpages.comcast.net/pattyanddavid/reef/MVC-076F.jpg">http://mywpages.comcast.net/pattyanddavid/reef/MVC-076F.jpg</a><a href="http://mywpages.comcast.net/pattyanddavid/reef/MVC-076F.jpg"></a>
<p>Crap.
<p>Water test show no NH4, NO2, NO3, or phosphates. pH is 8.1, temp 82,
Ca 345, SG 1.025, alk 10. I suspect it's dying (or dead), but I'm hoping
it's just bleached with a chance to come back. Any thoughts or advice ?
Do I need to get it out of my tank NOW so it doesn't pollute my water,
or do I leave it in hoping it comes back ?
<p>TIA.

Your Calcium is too low, but other than that is sounds fine. I wouldn't pull it
out. Even if it is a total loss, you may be surprised if it sprouts a couple of
babies at some point. What kind of current would you estimate it is receiving?
Are you attempting to target feed it at all?

First of all I'd say that fungia is on it's way out. Sorry about that.
:(
Fungias in my tank don't seem to need much care they just sit there on the
DSB.
They can be target fed & they do have a mouth (in the center of the
disk).

the tubing.
You don't need a special clamp you can just tie a knot in the tubing
until it drips as fast as you need it to.

The mouth is right on top, in the center.
Here are some photos of a fungia eating (Formula One):

On the other hand, your seems to be already dead, just the calcium
skeleton left...
