I've lost the instructions for the CA test, and haven't had much luck
locating anything online. Anyone help me out?
TIA

Im lame, i didnt notice you were using Red Sea until i typed this message,
if they are similar, then this may help, if not, throw this mail into the
garbage!
I think mine is salifert.(i dont have my tank presently, its on loan)
-fill 5ml into test vial, gosh, i hope its 5ml, it may be 3ml now that i
think of it(well alot of help i am)
-drop one spoon of powder
-then fill the syringe up with test solution until the rubber stopper is
exactly at 1cc.
-squeeze about half the syringe into the vial, mix well, then stir as you
add a drop at a time until
-you see a color shift from pink to bluish. as soon as you see the shift,
stop and read where the rubber stopper is at. if its all the way empty,
your at a perfect 500ppm, if its at .1, your at 450 i think, and if its at
..2 than your around 400ppm.
anyone correct me if i am wrong
seriously HTH

I have never used the RedSea Ca test but the Alk test should be tossed
in the trash if you have one!
Go with Salifert tests they are good hobby grade, reasonably priced kit.
