I've got a favia that is not doing too well. The flesh appears to be
withdrawing from the corallite walls and covering itself with a white
mucous and there are a few cells that have wasted away entirely just
leaving the skeleton behind. I've blown away the mucous with a turkey
baster but it doesn't seem to have helped too much. Is this a vitamin
deficiency, infection or what? The coral is relatively new (2 weeks in
main tank) and this wasn't observed during quarantine (although there
was one or two skeleton walls on the colony).
