whats your calcium load like, how much water do you add for topoff?? whats your ph?? how
are you planning on using it?

otherwise kalk is a good method it will raise your ph, it needs enough topoff water to be
added to make up for the calc load otherwise your salanity dips

You mix it up in advance and let it settle overnight, then siphon out the fluid
between the top layer of crud and the bottom layer of silt. All of that (the
silt and the crud) is thrown out, and the rest is ready for the tank.

Be very careful with it. It must be dripped in very very slowly, to replace
only the water that has evaporated.

If too much is added to your tank at once, it can even kill everything. (That
is the *worst* case senario.) I've tried using it for a couple of days myself,
but decided it wasn't worth the risk. With a dosing pump, it is a safer
option.

I used to use kalk, but honestly with the b-ionic I get much better
calcification of coralline and I get the deep purple and pink colors that I
didn't with kalk.
