I wouldn't! God knows what's in the stuff....you want to give them meat, go
find a nice beef heart at the butcher, cut it into oscar-sized chunks and
freeze them individually on a cookie sheet. Last you a long time.

Or you can grind it up and mix in spinach, seaweed, krill, other good
stuff -- but then it's a lot messier to feed if they don't snap up the
chunks while they're frozen.

Not that I recommend it, but an oscar I had ate most of a piece of pizza
that fell into the tank. I don't see how a piece of lunchmeat could be
worse.

A friend of mine feeds his 4' South American Catfish a whole chicken
once per week.

They don't even mind the feathers!

definately not. It is not the bologna that is bad, it is fat that you do
not want to get in the tank. the fish will not digest the fat and it will
pass thru and pollute the tank like nothing you have ever seen before.

Never give your fish any cuts of meat that contain fat. That is why
beefheart is a staple in most fishkeepers freezer, the heart is nothing but
muscle, no fat at all. ;op

Basically unless it's kosher and all beef, it's beef and pork. It's pretty
greasy, would be my only problem.

O's will eat anything. I avoid giving them anything that has been
processed, by either curing with salt, or smoked, heavy with ppl added
preservatives. I don't think an accidental feeding would harm them, but
over the long term, I don't want mine to be exposed to polysaturated
fats, ect.

As fuzzy said, i dont think that i would put anything that has nasty
human preservatives and additives and stuff in it.

Keep your oscars on your normal diet and stuff, pellets, peas, beef
heart and whataver else your usually feed them on :)
