I'm going to be swapping my 4 fancy goldfish into a new tank.
If I use the filter from the current one in the new one, will they be ok
without a filter in their current home for a few days whilst the tank
becomes established? (Using half the gravel, a couple of gallons of water
and some of the plants from the current tank to kick start the biological
process

if you use your current filter in the new tank there probably wont be any ammonia
spike at all. Ingrid
