I have been reading about these aptaisia eating little devils for a
little while here, and have come to the conclusion that they eat
strictly aptaisia's (which I have tons of) and that they can't be kept
in your reef tank. Well, I have 2 tanks, a 50gal which has pretty
high current and light, and a 35 gal with low current and low light.
I don't really have much in the 35 gal and the conditions seem about
right, does anyone know if these things will survive in there? I
currently have:
1 "scooter" blenny (small under 1 1/2")
1 banded coral shrimp
1 decorator crab (Big, 4" across legs)
i serpent star
1 leather coral
2' live sand
prism skimmer with surface skimmer
For water movement I have a small fluval filter (with no foam) and the
output from a cannister filter going through a spray bar.
Can I raise these nudibranches in this tank, and switch pieces of rock
into and then back out of the tank? I also have two mystery crabs,
which live somewhere in the rock but not in the 35 gal, but they would
likely be moved in there eventually during this process. I should be
able to remove things from this tank as well, if they conflict with
the berghia's.
Thanks for your help.
P.S. are these the same as sea hare's? My lfs ALWAYS has those, but
he says they eat hair algae... he had a really cool looking "Pink sea
hare" the last time I was in.
