Hi guys!
I know it's been a while since I posted on r.a.m.r, but I
had a bunch of images I thought you'd enjoy.
First, 11 shots of a hitchhiker crab that is kept in the
refugium, just in case. :)

http://www.melevsreef.com/pics/1204/crabclaw3.jpg
Here is a frag of Pocillopora
http://www.melevsreef.com/pics/1204/fuzzy_frag.jpg
Yellow sponge growing in the middle of star polyps
http://www.melevsreef.com/id/yellow_sponge.jpg
Pink sponge growing under a rock
http://www.melevsreef.com/id/pink_sponge.jpg
Mysis, the pods that mandarins and wrasses eat. Note the
size of the grains of sand.
http://www.melevsreef.com/id/mysis.jpg
There are probably 30 or 40 more images with descriptions in
my personal logs on my site. Here's the link:
http://www.melevsreef.com/log.html
FYI: If you are shopping for a place to host your own
website, please check out www.ipowerweb.com before the 12th.
They are offering a heck of a deal, so I signed up for it
with Melev's Reef as its own domain finally. They've been
my hosting company for 2 years, but my reef site was an
alias account piggy-backing on my company site. This offer
includes 2gigs of file space, 80gigs bandwidth per month,
1000 email accounts, 10 aliases and more... $96 a year!!! I
know you guys need a place to upload your images for
sharing, and I think this is an incredible deal.
Hope all of you are well, and I'll try to check in again soon.
Marc

I'd suggest checking out servermatrix.com as well. They often have
pretty good deals on dedicated hosting. Typically you can get your own
web server with 40gigs of HD and 1200GB transfer per month for around
$100 a month. Doh! I just saw that you said per *year*. That is
definitely a good deal.
So what are you going to do with the crab?

Yes, I believe it is a Black Fingered Mud Crab, in the
Xanthid family. Boomer or Bomber (lol) helped me ID the
first one I got last year. This is a new guy, so he's also
refugium-worthy.

I put him in the refugium where I can still view him but not
worry about any issues with my livestock.

Ric,
I hope you have a new home by now! What is the latest,
besides your new goodies that you're buying? I remember
seeing those images you posted. Ugh!!
You could get a small brass plaque made for the front of
that 30g that says "4 hurricanes in 2004 - you do the math". ;)
You'll like that camera, I'm sure. You always took good
pictures though, so we can expect all kinds of great images
once you get your system set up again.

That is what I refer to as a Gorilla Crab. Usually they are
dark reddish - to - almost black in color, with red eyes.

I don't believe they are the same. The claw shape looks
