View Full Version : sources for "freshwater mussels/clams"

December 11th 04, 07:45 AM
Hello. I am seeking sources for obtaining freshwater mussels
or clama. Where are good places to deal with? Or do you
have some you could spare? I especially would love some
species that don't require parasiting fish in larval stage.
Please post to group, since my yahoo email account is not working.
Thank!

I live in Springfield, and found one LFS that carries a few, Pet TIme
in Eugene. I got a few, though they've been quite boring, they bury
themselves in the sub, and I only see them if I dig them up while
vacuuming....
You might give Pet Time a call and ask about thier supplier.

Try your local garden centre's fish pond.
