I have something quite pretty growing in my 29 gallon tank which I
definitely did not put there. Maybe I should be alarmed at an evil
invader, but I have been welcoming its growth. I'll describe it/them.
It begins as a single deep red upright finger and then splits into two,
three, more fingers like a little tree. There are about 20 of them on a
bare rock, each a maximum of 1 inch high so far, but promising to grow
much more, up and out. I hope it's a good thing. Anyone recognize it
from the description?

Kinda sounds like a red montipora digitata. If so it is really good. See

YES! That's it. Thank you very much. I'm so glad it's a good thing
because it's very pretty and becoming wide spread. I also have a couple
tiny aiptasia which I'm trying not to like because I know they're pests,
but they look like benign tiny featherduster worms and it's hard not to
enjoy them.
