View Full Version : Anemone shrimp/crab with anemonefishes

If I have one v. large anemone in the tank inhabited with a pair of anemonefishes
like maroon clownfish - is there a room for an anemone crab/shrimp there ?
Will the fish treat crab/shrimp as a competition for the anemone and
cause conflicts ? Who will win the conflict, is crab/shrimp equiped to
deal with such issues or is doomed from the beginning ?

As you can see, there is a chemical war going on between the growing anemone
and brown button polyps and I need to take care of this by spreading the rocks
but the main point of the pictures here is to show the size relationship of
the fishes and the anemone. Is there a room for a small anemone shrimp/crab?
Or rather not a single chance...

Usually the fish drive the crab or shrimp from the anemone, but not always.
