Table instead of aquarium stand?

I have a tank that is 36 inches long by 12 wide(I *think* it's about 25 gal).
The only table I have right now is 32 inches across. Would there be a problem
with having the tank overlap the edges of the table? I'm wondering about the
stress on the tank itself...

Most tanks have support where the sides meet the base, as with a tank
stand, If your going to chance, using something to support your tank that
allows the edge of the tank to be unsupported, it might be an idea to get a
piece of Chipboard, cut the same size as the base or bigger, to sit the tank
on.

yes, it is the edges hold the tank. get a board that goes to the edge of the tank.
