One of my 5 glass catfish (Kryptopterus bicirrhis) is becoming less
transparent, ie is developing opaque marks on its body. They are not white
spots or anything like that, more just areas which are no longer
see-through. I have isolated it, but have no idea about treatment. Any
help much appreciated. (These guys have survived disasters for close to two
years, so I am quite fond of them.)

This could be a bacterial infection if he is turning white from the tail
upwards.

Maybe, anyway I treated it with a general antibiotic but no change. So it
is now back in the main tank. Its very difficult to describe apart from
saying it looks like glass that has been rubbed with sandpaper--tried to
take a photo to post to the binaries group, but its a waste of time. A bit
like trying to take a picture of a ghost !!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah...i know what you mean..

How long did you leave the glasscatfish in the antiboitic....it wont help in
the short term....like humans, antibiotics help over a longer period of
time. If you can get Pimafix its well woth it
