I had been looking for a dosing pump to run my kalk reactor for a while.
Since I built the reactor this past summer, it had used a mag-3 pump plugged
into a float switch. The main problem with this was the mag-3 (needed to
push the water to the tank about 30ft away) stirred up the kalk everytime it
started causing powder to be dosed along with the saturated water. And
there were other problems including siphoning into the sump, back-siphoning
into the RO reservior (from the kalk reactor), and the float switch sticking
on or off. So a few weeks ago I found this thread about scientific dosing
pumps, specifically Cole-Parmer MasterFlex pumps, and decided this was the

After reading that I got a MasterFlex on ebay for $99 and it's working
perfectly! Here are a few pics of my setup:
