Hiya Red, welcome back. How did you know I'd still be here? (NetMax who
has no life ;~). The last I heard from you was that you were dodging a
forced career change, and relocating. How did that go?
I can't say for sure yet (about the new place). Nov to Feb are the quiet
months but I've been real busy. Between upgrading & purchasing
equipment, hiring & training staff and with the record low sales, I've
lost some serious coin, but the plan wasn't to make money right now, but
to get a good foundation in place to grow from. If nothing else, I've
convinced my business partner that I have a talent for spending money
;~).
To not go too OT, how are the fishies? Here it's been fairly quiet
(except for the holiday rush of spam). Mandy is cycling a tank, Ozdude
is cooking some very interesting stuff, Richard is setting up a big tank
in his basement, Bill Ted Victor Brian IDzine01 Michi Robert George Mike
Nikki Cichidiot Eric Dan and of course TYNK 7, to just mention a few are
still helping out with the topics, McEve is setting up breeding mops for
Threadfin Rainbows (I'm afraid to ask her how her Zebras are doing), Dick
still has his Clowns and says he is not buying any more tanks, Luminos
doesn't seem quite himself (maybe it's just me, I'm not very observant),
John (from the bait/sport shop) is building yet another tank, Tim
(Amateur Cichlids) drops in occasionally (always nice to have his
contributions, I think he is fishing for members for his new forum at
fishaholics), and Margolis is new on the group and quite knowledgeable
(nice to have depth of experience around to ask advice). I've been
working on my pc network over part of the holidays, so I'm all caught up
here ;~).

Thanks for including me, makes me feel like part of the family. I hope I
can start contributing some intelligent help on this group some day. I
guess in about 20 years I will have as much experience as some on this
group.
Thanks Again

The times in my life when I've been in school have also been the times
when I've been most active in usenet... :)

Sure is good to get a breifing from you... precise, not overwhelming
and exactly what I was looking to here!!!
Yep, the job laid me off, decided I was making too much money, and
they'd rather take it home with them... kinda sucked, but I was burnt
out, bored with the way things were(yeah right) and was wanting to go
back to school... so it kinda worked out in the end...
Really good to hear this place didn't get washed up with 'stuff' and
not that I'll be able to help keep it clean anymore, I can atleast
learn and contribute... I really did miss not having the internet,
then as I went on, I missed the newsgroups more than the actual
internet and of all things, ebay... don't miss it at all...(if my wife
only heard me think that....)
Ok, the fish are doing great... the 55g I was working on may be getting
a reworking, with the remodeling/reworking, etc, we've completed our
quarantine of a male red eared slider, he's young, only 3.5" H-T, so
after a while, the wife will have to fork over some $$$ for a bigun!!!
Tank that is...
I'll be around, lurking mostly and sticking my stubborn, thick skulled
opinions in somewhere, but probably not as much...
Yo, Luminos, what's up with ya brother??
Ok, I'm done

careful. i did that once and i'm not sure if it was a curse or a blessing,
it was seven years ago and i'm still going! finishing up dual degrees next
spring with plans for grad school. between the fish and the books the wife
swears i'm nuts.

if that's your aspirations, you've got my respect, but realizing how
much time ALL those things involve?? I agree with her. Sounds like
she's right again!!
