Is this Hole In The Head?

Hi all,

Someone emailed me about her sick Oscar which has sores, mainly
on its head. Sounded like Hole in the head to me, but I've never
seen that on a live fish, only in photos.

She sent me a photo and said I could publish it if it helps get
her fish better; it's at http://www.gorge.org/fish/hith.jpg

Is this Hole in the head? If not, what could it be?
What can she do?

I suggested in the meanwhile she keeps her water very clean
and googles on HITH and Oscar diseases.

No other info other than what I've supplied I'm afraid.

be nice to have a couple more pics, the sores on the side close ups,
hard to see if there is an infection, or more. Might not be a bad idea
to treat the tank with a broad spectrum antibiotic.
