Red spots

My swordtail has a red spot on her head and other parts of her body. Her
fins look like they are rotting and she is not swimming right. Any ideas of
what may cause this. Also, my pleco is dying. He hasn't eaten in a week
and he has no energy to move any longer. :-(

Could be bacterial fin rot in the case of the swordtail.
Tell me about your setup, such as filtration and size of tank,
including water parameters.

[Starfish]

It is an internal bacterial infection.
Treat with a broad spectrum antibiotic or medicated food.......i treated my
case with "PIMAFIX"
