Well, thanks to some people here and on other groups, along with some
direct e-mail influence, I've just been over to the fish room to take
and measure water samples. It's 4:00 in the morning and I'm in the rec
room taking water samples! You see, over the weekend I set up my C02
system. Sunday was really the highlight; new retrofit light in a
plastic rain gutter hood giving off 1 million joules of energy; steady
C02 bubbles at 1bps, tiny bubbles only occasionally escaping the
diffuser, pH steady drop from 7.3 to 6.6, KH of 40ppm, C02 saturation
of approx. 12-20ppm, small dose of potasium, plants very happy and
emmitting (in one case) a steady stream of oxygen! Pearling!
This is soo cool! I took some pictures of the set up and I'll post
them later today. And if my fish are all happy tomorrow I'll identify
the perps... eh, thank those responsible for getting me up at 4:00 am
to go measure my tank water. :>)
