My dwarf Gouramis do the water spitting, lip smacking thing when the cover
is open - demanding food. They now take food out of your hand and nibble
your fingers. I thought this was "cute" until today.
I was changing the water when one tried to get my attention by spitting at
me. When that didn't work he came over and nibbled my fingers. Next thing
I know I felt a pinch on my arm and then another. The little devil bit me
hard enough to leave 2 small red marks.
Who's training who?

The fish to you atm ;)
This is very interesting because my Paradise Fish male used to do this
before his passing, not that I am intimating that anything like that is
going to happen. He used to bite occassionally.
Perhaps yours are randy too? Any bubble nests areound?
