Hey Group - I know this is a bit OT but I told my wife you guys know a
little bit about everything. My sister in law is loving her sea monkeys but
has run out of the food that came with them. What do they eat?
Thanxx

You can culture some green water for them. Take a leaf of lettuce and let it
soak in a shallow bowl of water on the window sill, within a couple of days
you will have white milky water, it will eventually turn green aswell. This
milky water can be added in small ammounts to the tank.

Go to a local pet/fish store and buy brine shrimp food.

sea monkeys... brine shrimp right?

feed them to something worth while and have done with it.

leave a buket outside with a slice of bread in it, fill it with water,
youll have green water in no time.

At work, we feed our brine shrimp very finely ground spirulina-based
fish food.... if you have a hard time finding it.... pour some clean
spirulina-based flakes or pellets/discs into a clean coffee-bean
grinder and grind for about 30 seconds. Not sure if this works in the
long term for brine shrimp kept as pets, but I do know that it helps
increase the nutritional value of ours before they are fed out to
display fish.

I actually didn't realize Sea Monkeys and Brine Shrimp were the same thing
when I started this post. I will likely have some requests/post about info
on growing them to feed also, as opposed to feeding them. I'll save that
for another time. Thanxx
