I have a 44 Gal tank right now with 42 lbs of love rock and only 2 fish
in it, I am moving to a 75 gal tank with any luck before June 1. My
question is I want to get a refugium that I can keep live rock and macro
algae in that is a size that I could transfer from my 44 gal to the 75
later.
BTW I am using a red sea prism deluxe protein Skimmer.

So what is the question? Size of refugium? 10g would be
fine for both.

If you're asking about regugium size, there is no real guide. 10g would
work. They can also be larger than the main tank. (I have a 100g tank
and have just upgraded to a 75g refugium from a 20g.) If you have the
space, your 44 would make a nice refugium.
