koi part goldfish

can anyone tell me im not sure i want to make a pond but i dont know if
koi are part goldfish they look alike

all goldfish and koi are bred from a species called carp.

they still exist wild, grow to about 48" and demolish water ways with
their messy feeding and spawning.

gold fish and koi will spawn to create dirty brown hybrids that never
colour up well....

why would them being related, or unrelated alter your decisions on a
pond anyways?
