Good News!

Do you know how simple it is to go to Heaven after this life has ended?

Some people believe that belonging to a local church, temple, mosque or
synagogue will get them to Heaven.

Others believe that water baptism, obeying the ten commandments or just
being a good person will get them to Heaven.

There are many other beliefs as well, but the good news about God's way
to Heaven is found in the Holy Bible.

The good news is that God came from Heaven to earth in the person of
Jesus Christ over 2000 years ago and died for our sins(misdeeds). He
was born in the land of Israel supernaturally to a virgin Jewish woman
named Mary. He lived a sinless life for thirty-three years and then
sacrificed His sinless blood and died on a cross to pay the death
penalty for our sins. After Jesus was placed in a tomb He rose from the
dead three days later as He said He would. The Holy Bible also tells us
that Jesus Christ ascended into Heaven and that all who accept Him as
their Lord and Saviour will live forever with Him in Heaven where there
is no more death, sorrow, sickness and pain.

The Bible says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is
eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23)

This verse in the Bible says, "For ALL HAVE SINNED, and come short of
the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)

This verse says, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this:
While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)

In this passage the Bible clearly explains how simple it is to be saved
and on your way to Heaven, "For if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus
is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead,
you WILL BE SAVED." (Romans 10:9)

You can be saved right now and on your way to Heaven if you will open
your heart to Jesus and pray the following prayer:

Dear Jesus Christ, I want to be saved so that I can have a home in
Heaven when I die. I agree with You that I am a sinner.
I believe You love me and want to save me. I believe that You bled and
died on the cross to pay the penalty for my sins. I believe that You
rose from the dead. Please forgive my sins and come into my heart and
be my Lord and Saviour. Thank You Lord Jesus Christ for forgiving me
and saving me through Your merciful grace. Amen.

You are now a Christian if you said the prayer and allowed God to save
you. Welcome to the family of God.

Salvation is not a reward but a gift. The Bible says it this way, "For
it is by GRACE you have been SAVED, through FAITH and this not from
yourselves, it is the GIFT of God." (Ephesians 2:8)

Nothing in the world is more important than your eternal destiny.

The Bible says, "In Him(Jesus) we have redemption through His blood,
the forgiveness of sins..." (Ephesians 1:7)

If you have not yet made a decision to be saved, please do so now
before it is too late. The reason why it is so important to be saved
now is because you do not know exactly when you will die. You may die
prematurely in a traffic accident, terrorist attack or some other way
before you get another chance to be saved.

The Bible tells us that we will spend eternity in Heaven or a place of
eternal torment called Hell. It would be terrible to die and go to Hell
when all you have to do is accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord
and Saviour.

Some people that have already made Jesus Christ their Lord and Saviour
worry about losing their salvation. The Bible teaches Christians that
we can never lose our salvation no matter what happens.

The Bible says it this way, "My dear children, I write this to you so
that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks
to the Father in our defense Jesus Christ, the Righteous One."

Yes my friend, Jesus Christ is able to save you and keep you saved.

Please tell your family and friends, thanks!

Have a great day!

Great. That was helpful. Now I'm even angrier at the sender, and at
the replier, too. I have to put up with this crap at work, now it's
in the aquaria groups too.

1. Spam
2. off-topic
3. farcical religious babble
4. reply to spam, with a link to more farcical off-topic religious
babble.

How nice. Ironic that I changed my sig last night.

Why does that make you angry, Billy?

I understand your concern Billy. However, having been reading these posts
for a number of years I can't say I haven't read a lot of casual promotion
of evolution and other religious ways of thinking such as atheism, etc. I
hardly ever remember reading a reply to any of those, that of course were
incorporated into a "fish" post, in which the responder was "angry". At the
end of the day, one can always block a sender if need be.

I don't know why he's angry, I'm angry because it shows the continuing
stupidity of our species and their insistence that their particular
version of an adult-rated Santa Claus is exactly what I need.

GB Shaw said it best:

"Faith is an opinion with no facts to back it up."

"Man is not an intelligent animal. He is an animal with the ability to
act intelligently WHEN AND IF he so chooses." (Emphasis mine)

"Intelligence is an experiment that failed."

I can't speak for Billy, but I find it remarkably stupid to seek
converts by making annoying off-topic spam posts in multiple groups.

I don't know, it's raised an interesting thread in a rugby group I write in
as to whether forwards or back will be found at god's right hand in the
afterlife. So spam does have its use in raising real religious and
existentialist discussions ;)

I assume your reverence to God and the Santa Claus analogy defines your
belief.

I felt a certain sinking feeling, emptiness....whatever, when Santa
Claus became a lie. I expect we all felt like that. Luckily, there was
a tomorrow and the consequences of the lie were pretty minor.

Just suppose, how much more intense that feeling, when you find out
you've made a grave error the instant you die? The consequences, are
not so minor.

hahahaha ha oh man. sorry but i thought that was hilarious. right on,
billy. I have a real hard time tolerating this...crap...(sorry to all
of you who were enchanted by this sender.) im not sure that i believe
that all missionaries are wrong entirely, but i do believe most all of
them go about their converting in a wrong, immoral, and pompous way.
Not only that, but this particular sender has a very disturbing
message, " believe in jesus because he will get your ass into heaven!
" what kind of message is that? what does that say to people who dont
know anything about christianity or religion for that matter. I feel
like this message was cleverly designed to appeal to people who feel
guilty about "sinning", frightened, and vulnerable.

im sorry spiral... but i get the same vibe from what youre
saying...please forgive me if im mistaken. But you said

"Just suppose, how much more intense that feeling, when you find out
you've made a grave error the instant you die? The consequences, are
not so minor."

i say who cares. you should not call yourself a christian , if you are
christian simply to make sure you have a spot in a pleasant afterlife.
rediculous. everything a religion stands for becomes completely
arbitrary if the point is getting to heaven.

ahahaha one more other thing, i love this part....

"You may die prematurely in a traffic accident, terrorist attack or
some other way before you get another chance to be saved."

Terrorist attack?! ahahaha oh god, what next? " also dont forget,
jesus would have been an american.. and a good bush supporter too."
ahahahaha

Many, many religions. Every religion purports to reveal the true way.
Would a god be so petty to deny one heaven on account of selecting the
wrong truth, on account of their intrinsic, "god given", fallibility?
But my "belief" is that mankind can resolve all of today's issues
without the requirement for us to become sycophants to a tyrannical,
egotistical supernatural being. And live, and let live!

A timeless quote:
"Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as
false, and by the rulers as useful."
Lucius Annaeus Seneca

First, R.L.Grossi' s chosen method of mission is between he and God. I
do firmly agree with what he says is the truth.

Ah, but you are looking at it the wrong way. The point is not getting
to Heaven at all. Heaven was our intended destination all along.

It is interesting to see the results of time. Let me explain. Before
Christ, there was only "The Church" for lack of a better name. There
was man and God. There were no religions, beliefs, only the truth.
Irrelevant as that may seem, the interesting part is through some great
course of events, man began referring to the truth as just another
religion.

And I can't believe that I am standing alone on this thing. Three
days and not one Christian has passed through freshwater.misc and read
this message??

If that's your understanding of history, you must not read much. How
about the religions of the Romans, Greeks, Egyptians, etc.. All before
Christ.

But arguing with someone who has his/her reasoning function turned off
is a waste of time.

I don't usually get into these arguments on the news groups, and may never
mention it again.

But not One of those religions have stood the test of time. Where are the
gods of Egypt, the gods of Rome, Greeks. Not one of them is still around.
But Jesus Christ 2000+ years later still lives.

My reasoning functions are ON.

Without Christ, we were all destined to live out our lives in Hell. All
major religions teach about an afterlife, purgatory, or nothingness. Only
Christianity provides an alternative. I believe because it is true.

It has nothing to do with with religion. It has to do with being
respectful of the other participants in the newsgroup, and not posting
off-topic spam to the group.
