My last post was concerned with my recently deceased male & female Convicts.
The question I have now concerns some of the offspring and their ability to
adapt to outside pond conditions BTW I'm in Sydney Australia, which means we
are currently in the throes of Summer, I could install a heat source to
combat the Winter chill, but what and how powerful.
Pond is approximately 300gals, contains a number of Goldfish as well as the
offspring of at least 3 species of indigenous Frogs.
Hate to be a pain but all advise is most welcome.

Heating would need to be done, incorporating a filter // pump system, The
same type of system used in Heated swimming pool, should do the job..
Now the bad news, with-in 6 months or so, all the goldfish will be Convict
food, All the little Convicts, will be big Convicts, and they will all be
breeding away.
But the good news is, Every Heron, and Kingfisher, in the district will be
using your pond as a Cafe or Take-away. Better wire mesh the top of the
pond.

I,m also in OZ, North Coast, So I know about the weather.
