I acquired a T. crocea today, about 3 inches tip to tip. On one side
of the clam, about 5mm from the mantle, is something's house. What
pops out of the 'house' looks like a snail's head, but it is sessile.
The 'house' is permanently attatched to the crocea. Please tell me
this isn't the carnivorous, boring snail that I've read about in
connection with the tridacnid clams....

Tried to get a pic, you can see a bit of it on the pic of the clam I
posted in alt.binaries.aquaria
