Puffer Fish research

Hi,
I'm new to newsgroups.
I've had a 180 litre freshwater set up for over a year now and am really
enjoying it.
I am interested in Puffer fish (figure of eight and spotted types). Though I
need more info about keeping them before I set up a tank.
Simple things like...if I keep it/them in freshwater, if I feed them
sal****er cockles from the supermarket, will this upset their health?

I've tried the usual places on the net but info is sketchy, all info
gratefully received.

Thank you for those links, that was just what I was looking for. I feel more
confident in setting up and caring for a puffer now.
