Is a Seaclone 100 a good protein skimmer for a 55 gallon tank? Thanks.

Can you recommend one for a 55 gallon fish only tank? I would greatly
appreciate it. Thanks.

I'm no expert, but you can probably get away without having one if it is FO.

Now I have heard only the best about an aqua c remora. It is a bit more
expensive, but I've never heard a bad thing about it. I don't currently
have one, but it is on my list. I have the Won Brothers 75 right now and
for the money it is supposed to be a decent skimmer. It is too new to tell
yet (only 4 days old). I have also tried the Prizm Deluxe. It worked all
right, but then the pump went out. They sell the pumps for 19.99 and with
that it will be working again. I'm going to put it on eBay. I have not
decided if I'm going to buy the pump and fix it first or just sell it as is.

I originally bought a seaclone 100 for my 46G tank. It never worked right
and after searching around I heard many bad things about it. There are some
modifications that can be made to make it a capable and half way decent
skimmer, but in my opinions if you spend your money on something it should
work right without all the hassle.

The Euroreef skimmers are rated very high, but may be overkill for a
fish-only tank. I'll toss my towel into the Aqua C corner.
