View Full Version : How many Ottos?

Sounds like the beginning of a joke but....
I put in three Ottos a few days ago in my 26g to get rid of algae on
my rocks (not much on my sides yet). They seem to prefer the glass
right now. Do I have enough in my tank for them to start noticing the
juicy stuff on the rocks?
All the best,
Larry

You might look into SAE's to keep the rocks and deco clean. My ottos don't
leave the glass either.

If its a type of alga they eat, they should get to work fairly soon.
However, don't expect miracles. The only way to really get rid of
algae is to get the nutrient/light situation under control.
Algae-eaters are just a help.
