medicated goldfish food in Oz?

Hi!!
I have been looking for a good medicated fish food (anti bacterial and anti
parasite) and haven't been able to find anything here in QLD....

Hope that someone can give me some recomendations!!!!

Hi,

I've checked all of my commercial Oz web site bookmarks for a food product
and there doesn't appear to be one.

It' seems they are all liquid medications for both internal and external
parasites and fungus.

Sorry I can't help with any food.

Thats all good! Where do you get your fish supplies from? At the moment im
getting mine from Aquariums r us, Age of Aquariums and aquamail.

FYI, Waterlife treatment products -- Myxazin, Protozin, Sterazin etc -- are
now back on the market in Oz. Most of the experienced betta owners swear by
them. They're pretty expensive, but Age of Aquariums has them at $25.
(I've just got some Myxazin to treat fin rot on some of my bettas).

As Ozdude said, medicated fish foods are not available in Australia, and the
only antibiotics available OTC are tri-sulfa and tetracycline. With a bit
of messing around, you can make your own medicated food by pulversing the AB
to a powder then mixing it with dried food (pellets work best) and a little
bit of vege oil to make it stick.
