I just wanted to register a vote against this sucker. Sounded like a
good idea when I bought it, I didn't see any negative reviews at the
time.
It does keep the temperature legendarily stable. It's been great for
what I've needed so far.
But now I need to crank it up to 85 or so, and I can't - it won't go any
higher than 80F. When I need it most, the inflexibility bites me. I'll
have to add a second heater to the tank if I want the temp higher, and
the only one I've got is a crummy old non-thermostat one.
I might just replace it - but for future readers, unless your fish are
immune to illness stay away from this heater!
