A LFS has a list of new species soon to be released. It includes "Red Khuli
Loach". Does anyone know anything about these critters?

do you have either a description or a latin name? I've never heard of
these and I can't think of anything it might be; apart possibly from a
misnamed black kuhli!

- black kuhlis are sometimes known as cinnamon kuhlis, so this may be
possible; but be warned they will _not_ be red. Dark chocolatey brown
with a hint of purple in the face. The tiny ones are much darker -
nearly black - they get lighter as they age.

No, just Red Khuli Loach on a list of new varieties, all common names
unfortunately.
Guess I will just have two wait two weeks and go have a look.

Well, I've been asking questions and apparently there _is_ a solid red
kuhli loach, with no other markings. The coloration is described as
blood-red, and the name is pangio filinaris.
Sounds fantastic, and I shall be very envious if you manage to get hold
of a group of them! Keep me posted...
