Okay, so it was only one toad who had been trying enjoy a little sunbath
under the blackberry bush, but hey! The toads are here.

I haven't seen any toads by or in the ponds yet, but 2 more frogs joined the
lone singer in the small pond this evening. :-) I can hear them croaking
away as I type this. The toads may be coming out after night falls so we
wouldn't see them in that case.

I learned years ago to sleep with foam earplugs. (I slept in hotels a
lot.) Beats chemicals making me groggy in the morning.
