Thanks to everyone that replied to my post a while back on plywood
aquariums....now I came across a 125 gal. AGA with glass top, lights and
pine stand for $450.00 on sale at a local pet store. Good or not so good?
I'm still debating on building or buying. TIA....John

Eh. Who pays retail? A used tank should be under $150. Sometimes
with clever shopping, sales, price mathicng eand so on you can get
deals almost as good as that.
A buck a gallon or under is my rule; having said that my neighbor
bought a 150 with stand, lights, filters, and other accessories
in as new condition for $400 (Canadian). Check newspaper and
"bargin shopper" type classified ads, craigslist.org and if
you're in Californis recycler.com.
Keep in mind too although shipping glass tanks is impractical
acrylic tanks shipp well and cheaply. They are not uncommon
in the recycler.
