Hello,
Have any one experiance with the redfield ratio ?
(N / P = 16 )
Which values have your pond ?
NO3 = ?
PO4 = ?
Algea (stick on bottom)= Not present/Little/much

I have experience with it in planted fishtanks and it works quite well.
My best tank is 8 ppm nitrate, 0.5 ppm phosphate and grows almost no
algae. Some on the glass that is easily scraped off is all.
I suspect it would work equally well in ponds, as long as there are a
lot of plants without fertilizer tabs at the roots. Higher plants must
be using N,P, and K from the water column to outcompete algae.
