View Full Version : water treatment chemical question

is the water treatment chemical to get rid of the chloramine
safe for humans? I use the regular drink containers around
the house to store treated water for changes - how well do I
have to clean those things again before I use 'em for Kool-aid?

house is a bit too small to store separate water jugs for the
fishies...

I had to read your post twice because i thought you were asking if you could
drink the water with dechlor!!! lol!
If you stored water with dechlor in the jug, they should be fine...just wash
them in warm water and off you go...

If you are using them for drinking and changing fish water, i would advise
not usung detergent or soap to wash these jugs. Detergent and saop are
highly toxic to fish ( no matter how long you wash, the residure stays)...so
warm or hottish water would be the go here....
