Hello,

My name is Paulo, and I'm from Portugal.

I bouhgt a couple of months ago an Echinodorus Aflamé.
The plant is responding not bad to the levels in my tank, but not as good as
the others Echinodorus.
My setup is:

volume: 350 lt
co2: pressurized with Dupla Reactor S
light: 2x 125w HQL Osram Super Deluxe
filtration: Eheim 2250 and 35 lt external biological filter (bioballs and
siporax)
ph: 6.86
kh: 7
gh: 11
fe: 0.1
po4: 0.25
nitrite and ammonia: 0
nitrate: 0

The problem with this Echinodorus is that all the new leaves are growing
folded, instead of the usual open leaf.
My other echinodorus (ozelot and ozelot green) are growing beautifully, and
my ozelot green also sent a shoot with 5 new plants and some flowers.

Could you give some feedback on this situation?

TIA

Paulo

How old is the tank? Many plants release chemicals that inhibit growth
of other plants, which tend to build up in the substrate. To test if
this is the case, put the Aflame in another tank, or put it in its own
pot with fresh substrate and see if that makes a difference.
