Emerald crab compatibility

I've had two emerald crabs in my 12" * 24" * 18" high tank for several
months now. After fighting initially and one of them loosing a couple
of legs they've been just fine and have really done a great job keeping
my live rock clean. The legs have not grown back yet, but I'm under
the impression that they will when the little guy molts. They are such
good cleaners that I've been considering getting a couple more.

Does anyone know of a cleaner that is as effective as the emerald crab
that will chow down on algae growing on a sand flat? I've got a
sparcely populated tank, with a pile of live rock that takes up about
half the floor space of the tank, and an expanse of sand that stretches
across the other half. While the emerald crabs do a great job with the
rock, they generally are not brave enough to venture out into the sand
and so I've got a lot of green hair algae growing out there.

I had a green algae problem once. Got a Foxface, he ate it all in 3days. If
it even thinks about comeing back he eats it up before I even see it. He's a
great fish too!

The foxface sounds like a good bet, but my tank is much to small for an
adult, it's only 25 gallons. Any idea how fast they grow, as in how
long could I keep a small one in a 25 gallon tank before having to move
it to a larger system?
