Damsels

[Peter Pan]

I have 3 Yellow tail Damsels living in my hospital tank. Today, I noticed
one of them has a bubble over one of his eyes. Can anyone tell me what it
is and what I can do to help him?
Also, IM trying to get the other 2 damsels out of my reef tank... Any
suggestions?...

I think we have all been there trying to get the terrorist Damsels out of
our tanks. Hey why do we put them there in the first place? There's tons of
hardy fish we could use for cycling. IMO we start with them because they're
cheap, and they're blue (or striped) so they look good.

Here's the product I used and within 24 hours I had them both out of my reef
tank and back to the LFS where they belong to terrorize another day.

Might be pop-eye. This is usually caused by bacterial, viral, or fungal
infections or by toxins. In the absence of other disease symptoms, suspect
toxins. Copper treatment, temperature increases, and overaeration in the recent
past can cause this. Treatment includes lowering the temperature as far as can
be safely done and cutting off any high-pressure pumps (ie. most of your
filters). Don't expect rapid results.
