I use rock salt in my FW American game fish aquariums to help fight ich and
fungus diseases. Works quite well. I am looking for LARGE egg laying
snails that will eat algae & diatoms yet not be affected by the salt
Any Idea's?

I'd normally have said applesnail, but they're very sensitive to salt.
The only snails I know of which are fairly easily obtainable and which
survive reasonable salinities (15 ppt or so) are Malaysian Tower Snails
and the various species of Neritina.

Sorry for taking so long to get back, this is our busy season, and we are
working 18 hour days.
I add about 2 lbs of rock salt to 800 - 950 gallons of water. Doesn't seem
like a lot, but it seems to bother the apple snails.
