Bristlenose problems.

Morning all,
About 6 months ago I was given a 4 foot community tank among it's
occupants were a few adult Bristenose cats and lots of young ones about
1/2 inch long, the long and short of it is that the adults have
survived but all of the young have died off.
Any idea's will be of interest.

Some info about the tank and it's equipment would be useful, but the
things I'd *guess* would be that the young weren't tough enough to
survive a move, or when the tank was moved, the biological filter was
partially or totally wiped out, and the younglings, again, weren't
tough enough to survive the poison in the water.
