have a tank (70 litre) with koi, doing fine for the past six months -
no problems at all. About two weeks ago, the water became really
cloudy / opaque. Only change is fish food was changed - started using
colour enhancing fish food.
Have done large water change and cleaned filter, but no improvement, -
any ideas.
Thanks
Karen

Some foods are bad about clouding water. Koi foods are made for ponds
more than fishtanks, where there's a LOT more water per fish and better
filtration. You might try going back to the food you were using before
and see if the water clears up.
Um...I hope you have a pond for your koi soon. They will outgrow most
fishtanks and their waste output puts oscars to shame.

I started using that "crisp" flake food, and it clouded my water terribly. I
switched to regular flake food a week ago and the cloudiness is almost gone.
I agree that some foods are bad about clouding water.
